24 01 2012Fahrt nach New Plymouth zum Mount Taranaki, einem 2.518 m hohem Vulkan. Besonders genießen wir es keine Sandfliegen mehr zu sehen. Eine Maori Legende sagt folgendes:
„Sandflies were created by the gods to prevent humans from staying on the south island, a place of such immense beauty that people would never leave if not coerced by the bites of the sandflies.“
